Our Mission:
To emphasize the dignity of women through workshops on fashion and image related topics.
History:
Runway to Reality began as Teen Appeal in the summer of 2004. At the time four women, including Monica Cops and Molly Miller, had a desire to combat the negative images of women in the area of fashion, especially teens. They wanted to see fashion contribute to the dignity of all women. With this idea in mind, these women received training from Elegance in Style, an organization that trains fashion consultants, and the Murray Hill Institute, an organization that supports women in society.
During 2004-2005 Runway to Reality developed a series of workshops for both girls and women that were given in homes, schools, churches, and other group meeting places. Monica Cops and Molly Miller continue to develop workshops and have also planned and implemented conferences such as Beauty and the Blessed and Mind Over Media. |
